Allianz Global Assistance has Irish motorists covered with new Pan-European Breakdown Assistance offering

Allianz Global Assistance Ireland is launching a breakdown service for Irish motorists, offering four different levels starting from as little as €36 per year.

Designed to get motorists back on the road with the minimum of inconvenience, consumers can benefit from Allianz Global Assistance’s 35 plus years of expertise as a provider of premium manufacturer branded roadside assistance services, as well as an extensive network of industry-accredited motoring technicians across Ireland.

Available online at, the packages offer consumers various levels of peace of mind either in Ireland, the UK and Ireland or in Continental Europe, depending on their motoring needs. 24 hour breakdown assistance and local car recovery for the driver and up to seven passengers comes as standard with all packages, including up to five call outs per year. Cover is available for passenger cars up to 15 years of age and light commercial vehicles up to 10 years of age.

‘Ireland Motor Breakdown’ provides breakdown cover for those who are one mile or more away from their home and local recovery to the nearest garage, if the car can’t be fixed by the roadside.

‘Ireland Motor Breakdown Plus’ adds home assistance if the vehicle breaks down before the customer has even started a journey.

‘Ireland & UK Motor Breakdown’ includes all the benefits of the ‘Ireland Motor Breakdown Plus’ package plus national recovery, the convenience of alternative transport, a hire car or overnight accommodation, wrong fuel cover and loss of keys, all for less than €75 a year.

Customers looking to venture further afield can opt for ‘European Motor Breakdown’ cover, which extends cover in Ireland to across Europe for those summertime road trips.
